Friends: Our Updates are sent to instruct, encourage, edify and act as a help in prayer. We appreciate your receiving them, your replies, comments and prayer requests.
We recently enjoyed Training Pastors and Leaders, Bible and Literature Distribution, and an Encouragement to Church Planting in Soroti. Pastor Alex Minge of Choice Baptist Church and I (Jim) taught about 50 Baptist pastors and leaders led by Regional Overseer Sam Eibu. The Lord blessed us with His presence and the men were encouraged to evangelize and plant churches in Eastern Uganda where there is a need for churches. Please pray that the Lord will produce good fruit, conversions, good discipleship, evangelism and church plants as He will through the ministry. See photos here; it was so much cooler under the mango tree than in the church building!

We appreciate your prayer as Jim goes to Guinea, West Africa for Pastor and Leadership Training and Encouragements to evangelism, discipleship, godly Christian marriage, and church planting.

We are well here by the Lord’s grace and trust that you are. May God bless you friends!

The ‘Reflections’ piece is meant as an encouragement to our faithful giving to the Lord who has given all for us; we are blessed by His grace in His meeting our financial needs, thank you for your generous gifts!

In the Savior’s church by His grace and peace, your friends, with thanks, Jim and Kappy Robinette

“And also I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18 NKJV
___________________________________________________

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”—Malachi 3:10

“Many read and plead this promise without noticing the condition on which the blessing is promised. We cannot expect heaven to be opened or the blessing poured out unless we pay our dues unto the Lord our God and to His cause. There would be no lack of funds for holy purposes if all professing Christians paid their fair share.

Many are poor because they rob God. Many churches also miss the visitations of the Spirit because they starve their ministers. If there is no temporal meat for God’s servants, we need not wonder if their ministry has but little food in it for our souls. When missions pine for means, and the work of the Lord is hindered by an empty treasury, how can we look for a large amount of soul prosperity?

Come, come! What have I given of late? Have I been mean to my God? Have I stinted my Savior? This will never do. Let me give my Lord Jesus His tithe by helping the poor and aiding His work, and then I shall prove His power to bless me on a large scale.”

-C.H. Spurgeon  British Minister  1834-1892
