Mission Africa Update October 6, 2018

In Uganda see our recent communications online at: https://missionafricajk.blogspot.ug/.
In other countries also see our communications at: https://www.missionafricajk.net.
Friends: Our Updates are sent to instruct, encourage, edify and act as a help in prayer. We appreciate your receiving them, your replies, comments and prayer requests.
We will share this Update format once a month as God allows.
Teaching and Prayer for Africa:
May our Lord, who has blessed us with salvation in Christ help us to better understand “Of The Church” from the London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689: “The Lord Jesus Christ is the Head of the church, in whom, by the appointment of the Father, all power for the calling, institution, order or government of the church, is invested in a supreme and sovereign manner; neither can the pope of Rome in any sense be head thereof, but is that antichrist, that man of sin, and son of perdition, that exalteth himself in the church against Christ, and all that is called God; whom the Lord shall destroy with the brightness of His coming.” We are in agreement that the Pope is not head of the spiritual body of Christ.
Edited from Operation World, Seventh Edition: About the Church in Pakistan: “Leadership training is a hugely critical need for the Church. Pray for educational and training institutions, for an increase of students, for wise and godly leadership, for sufficient qualified faculty and for adequate financial resources. Give thanks for the new generation of emerging Pakistani leaders, and pray that a higher proportion of them may be able to serve in national churches without needing the support of foreign agencies.” Jim plans to visit and serve in Pakistan in October as God wills; pray for God’s grace during this ministry time for the people there and for us.

“And also I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18 NKJV

__________________________________________________________

"And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men"   (Micah 5:7).

“If this be true of the literal Israel, much more is it true of the spiritual Israel, the believing people of God. When saints are what they should be, they are an incalculable blessing to those among whom they are scattered. They are as the dew; for in a quiet, unobtrusive manner they refresh those around them. Silently but effectually they minister to the life, growth, and joy of those who dwell with them. Coming fresh from heaven, glistening like diamonds in the sun, gracious men and women attend to the feeble and insignificant till each blade of grass has its own drop of dew. Little as individuals, they are, when united, all-sufficient for the purposes of love which the LORD fulfills through them. Dew drops accomplish the refreshing of broad acres. LORD, make us like the dew! Godly people are as showers which come at God's bidding without man's leave and license. They work for God whether men desire it or not; they no more ask human permission than the rain does. LORD, make us thus boldly prompt and free in Thy service wherever our lot is cast.”

-C.H. Spurgeon  British Preacher 1834-1892
